A guide to Better Quality Music (BQM).
When recording pay attention to distance from the mic. As you move closer to the mic you will hear more bass and as you move away from the mic the vocal begins to sound thin and little to no bass.
This is called the proximity effect.
Our goal is to get the voice to sound natural. You’ll have to experiment to see what sounds best in your set-up. Typically 6 - 12 inches away from the mic is where most sound good.
